Gnots was established in 1967 to provide fleeting and towing services to the major grain elevators located at Mile Marker 118 on the lower Mississippi River in Saint Rose, LA. After more than 55 years in the industry, we have grown to include a barge washing and repair operation with dry dock and fiberglass repairs.
In 2007, Daniel Wise, the president/owner, decided to upgrade our fleet of boats to comply with the Sub M and new Coast Guard regulations. Over the last 15 years, Gnots has either built or purchased new boats that fulfill our specifications. Our newest vessel will be delivered in May of 2022. Saint Rose Fleet can accommodate 425 barges.
